PROCESS AND DEVICE FOR GENERATING A SEQUENCE OF SHEETS

A process and device generate a sequence of individual sheets, for example for laminating or lacquering plants or for printing machines. After determining the actual processing tempo (IG), the feeeding frequency (As) is determined by a computer (C1) as a function of the length of the sheets. The sequence of individual sheets is generated by controlled mechanical means. The free selectable variables are converted by electronic computing means (EC) into corresponding actuating variables, so that the resulting parameters smoothly accelerate the sheets and create the sequence of sheets by simple mechanical means (M-M) having a controllable friction clutch. The desired processing speed (V1) and a given length (L) of the sheet are also input by means of the computer (C1). The feeding frequency (As) as well as the operating frequency of a wet cutting device are controlled by a corresponding incremential value generator (18) by means of the main drive. Processing speeds from 60 to 100 meters per minute may thus be achieved without problems. The quality remains good even at the highest speeds.
