<p>A capping apparatus having a bridge bar (140) for pressing the trailing edge of a PT cap down on a jar and a magnetic slide block (150) which pulls the leading edge of the cap up away from the jar so that the cap sits squarely on the jar. A hold down (130) at the outlet of a chute (110) and the bridge bar both extend across the width of the chute and cap therein, thus applying even pressure to the cap and preventing twisting within the chute.</p> |
