The invention relates to a soil cultivating machine which comprises a frame (1) and soil working members (3), which are power-driven about upwardly directed axes and are arranged in side-by-side relationship in a row transversely to the direction of operative travel (A) of the machine. The machine includes a supporting roller (11) and the soil working members (3) are provided with soil working elements (5), the active portions (7) of which extend rearwardly relative to the direction of rotation of the soil working members (3), while means are provided with the aid of which the direction of rotation of the soil working members (3) can be reversed. The said means are afforded by a drive for the soil working members (3), which drive includes a gear box (15) provided with shafts (19, 23) which extend in the direction of operative travel (A) and project from the front side thereof, the arrangement being such that with the aid of said shafts (19, 23) the soil working members (3) can optionally be driven in a different directions of rotation. |
