PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF SILAALKANE

This relates to manufacturing 2,4,6-trisilaalkane of formula (I) and 1,3-disilaalkane of formula (II) which are useful primers of silicon polymer. These silaalkanes are prepared simultaneously by reaction silicon and chloromethylsilane of (III) in the presence of copper or cuprous chloride catalyst or added cadmium powder cocatalyst at 25-350 deg.C.
