<p>A metering instrument for dispensing a number of measures of a liquid taken from a supply of said liquid, including a tubular body (2) to be held by the user, a container (5) for the liquid, a shank (33) axially arranged within the body (2) and freely translatable therein in a reference direction, and a user-graspable plunger (22) freely translatable in the body (2) and engageable with the shank in the injecting direction. Said shank (33) includes a serrated portion consisting of a series of ring-shaped notches (34), said body (2) includes a number of peripheral axial slots (14-21), and said plunger (22) comprises an outwardly-projecting tab (27) for engagement with one of the slots in the body.</p> |
