A device for the remote control of engine functions comprising a control unit (19) with at least one control system consisting of a switch shaft coupled with a first control potentiometer (9;9A), a swiveling arm mechanism (7) coupled with the switch shaft and connected to a push-pull cable the other end of which is connected to an operating lever (15,16) of the engine, an adjusting motor (5;5A) coupled with the switch shaft and an electronic control circuit (12,13) for the adjusting motor, and at least one control mechanism (21) connected to the control unit (19) by means of an electric cable (20) also connected to the electronic control circuit, said control mechanism having a second control potentiometer coupled with an operating handle (22), the electronic control circuit comparing the electric signals derived from said first and said second control potentiometer and energizing the adjusting motor when the difference exceeds a given threshold value.
