The invention relates to a liquid-ring (fluid-ring) machine (1) in which a first connection orifice (11) is connected to a suction line (2) and a second connection orifice (12), which acts in the opposite manner, is connected to a liquid separator (4) via a connection line (3). The liquid separator (4) has at least one vent line (exhaust air line) (5) and at least one return line (6) running back to the liquid-ring machine (1). An aftercooling unit (7) is provided which consists of two separate chambers (71, 72) having at least one common partition and with its first chamber (71) is connected to the suction line (2) and with its second chamber (72) is connected to the vent line (5). From the second chamber (72) of the aftercooling unit (7) the condensate can be recycled into the sealing liquid circuit and/or into the gas throughflow, at least one injection line (9) for injecting liquid debouching into the suction line (2) upstream of the aftercooling unit (7) and/or in the aftercooling unit (7). With a liquid-ring machine of this design, the consumption of sealing liquid is at least considerably reduced. <IMAGE>
