Apparatus for open-end rotor spinning

In an apparatus for open-end rotor spinning, the axes of the spinning rotor, of the feed roller and of the opening roller lie in mutually parallel planes, as seen in a top view. As seen in a side view, the axes of the feed roller and of the opening roller are arranged inclined relative to the horizontal axis of the spinning rotor. A driveshaft extends perpendicularly to the said planes and drives the feed roller via a worm and a worm wheel. The axis of the driveshaft is at the same time the pivot axis for a pivoting housing which carries the feed roller and the opening roller and which at the same time forms the cover for the spinning rotor. The pivoting housing is mounted independently of the rotor housing and can be removed from its mounting transversely to the pivot axis. Both the feed roller and the opening roller are accessible from the service side when the pivoting housing is in the spinning position.
