PURPOSE:A lubricating oil composition for reducing wear and friction in sliding parts of automobile engine, machine tool, etc., consisting of a lubricating oil, a molybdenum alkyldithiocarbamate and a metallic cleaning dispersant. CONSTITUTION:(A) A lubricating oil (e.g., animal or vegetable oil, mineral oil, synthetic lubricating oil, etc.) is blended with (B) preferably 0.05-0.10wt% molybdenum dialkyldithiocarbamate and (C) a metallic cleaning dispersant (e.g. sulfonate, phenylate, salicylate or phosphonate) to give the aimed lubricating oil composition. The amount of the component C blended is preferably 0.005-0.2wt% in the case of the component C containing sulfur and preferably 0.05-0.9wt% in the case of the component C containing no sulfur. |
