<p>A method for filtering aqueous effluents by simultaneous mechanical and chemical filtering using a highly cellulose-loaded filter element activated by supplying oxygen. The filter includes a filtration tank (4), and a filtration pan (5) placed inside the tank for receiving a filter element (6). Oxygen is supplied to the tank by, for example, electrolysis.
