A side panel for motor vehicles, especially cars, covers at least part of the lateral frame side rails (side members) of the body, an end region, looking in a vertical direction, of the side panel being held in position by separate fastening elements. In order to achieve simple, rapid and cost-effective fastening and/or assembly of the panelling on the frame side rail while ensuring that the mounting is in line with the function, provision is made for blocking noses to be welded to the panelling at individual points, to reach behind reception apertures in the lateral frame side rails in an operating position and to be supported on the insides of the frame side rails. <IMAGE> |
