<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a golf club head which eliminates the need for the preparing a different die at each angle of a head having a sweet area at the center of a hitting surface with a lower center of gravity by arranging one end part of shaft receiving pipe to flush the top surface of a crown part of the head while the other end part thereof joins on the internal surface of a sole part. CONSTITUTION:A head body of a golf club head 10 is formed by joining a face member composing a front having a hitting surface and a back member composing the rear of the head body together and hollow inside. A shaft receiving pipe 11 is mounted at an internal end part of the head body. The shaft receiving pipe 11 has the upper side thereof joined on the internal surface of a crown part 13a while the lower end part thereof joined on the internal surface of a sole part 14a and the upper end part of the shaft receiving pipe 11 is made flush the external surface of the crown part 13a. This eliminates a hosel part to lower the position of the center of gravity and as the center of gravity is almost at the center across the width of the hitting surface to allow the location of the sweet area almost at the center of the hitting surface thereby achieving excellent club performance.</p> |
