The facade element according to the invention is fitted, at the location of a cold bridge, with an interlayer 8 which is bonded to the material of the element and is made of a thermally insulating material. The facade element is preferably double-walled, the interlayer 8 preferably being located at the junction between the one wall and the other wall. The material of the element is preferably formed by polyester concrete, in particular by a cured (hardened) mixture of sand, and saturated polyester resin, styrene monomer and quartz powder, and the material of the interlayer 8 is preferably formed by polyurethane resin, in particular from a cured casting resin formed from 4,4'-diisocyanatodiphenylmethane, polyether polyol and a catalyst, and the cavity which may be present between the walls is filled by a slab of polyurethane foam 6.
