<p>PURPOSE: To form a coating material formulation or mixture which allows mixing of at least three kinds of components and controlling of relative ratios of the respective components. CONSTITUTION: One of the multiple components in the method and apparatus for forming the coating material formulation by combining the multiple components is resin and another component is a supercritical fluid employed as a fluid diluent and more adequately the third component is a catalyst. Two of the components are transmitted through separate flow paths to a first mixer 14, within which they are combined to form a mixture and then the third component is added to the mixture in a second mixer 15 to form the coating material formulation, which is discharged by one or more coating dispensers 12 or spray guns onto a substrate.</p> |
