<p>PURPOSE:To execute the preheat of iron base scrap to high temp. in uniform condition without bringing about oxidation. CONSTITUTION:At the time of executing steelmaking by using the iron base scrap 2(2a) as raw material, the iron base scrap 2(2b) is preheated in a rotary kiln and charged into an electric furnace of arc type, etc. In some case, before charging into the electric furnace after preheating in the rotary kiln 1, the scrap 2(2c) preheated in the rotary kiln 1 is charged into a closed type preheated scrap charging bucket 6 having heat-insulating structure. The preheated scrap 2(2c) is properly charged from the closed type bucket 6 into the electric furnace.</p> |
