Boot cleaner which comprises a supporting structure which is provided with a brush-bearing part which is U-shaped in cross section, and bears a number of brushes with the brush surfaces directed inwards, the supporting structure being made from plastic sheet, preferably of the type in which a screw thread can be tapped, and in particular of the type which includes recycled polyethylene. The supporting structure may be composed of various flat parts, may be bent out of one flat sheet or may be composed of a combination of one bent part and a number of flat parts. <IMAGE>
