PURPOSE:To carry out the mixing of each small lot without interrupting the operation by discharging cotton from either of two chambers isolable with a shutter, feeding the cotton to the other and moving the cotton even between the two chambers. CONSTITUTION:A mixing chamber is divided into a front mixing chamber 3 and a rear mixing chamber 4 with a shutter 2 and a fiber raw material is then fed from a pneumatic feed pipe 10 into the front mixing chamber. After completing the feed of a prescribed amount, the discharge of the fiber raw material is started with an elevating spiked lattice 7 and picker rolls 8 and a damper 14 is subsequently changed over to feed the fiber raw material to the rear mixing chamber. When the absence of the fiber raw material in the front mixing chamber is sensed with a photoelectric tube 15, etc., the shutter is opened to transfer the fiber raw material in the rear mixing chamber to the front mixing chamber with bottom lattices 5 and 6. The shutter is then closed to repetitively carry out the discharge of the fiber raw material from the front mixing chamber and the feed of the fiber raw material to the rear mixing chamber. |
