<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of wrinkle at a paper sheet and to prevent the occurrence of peel and breakage of the end face of a paper sheet. CONSTITUTION:When a paper sheet 14 is thick, a solenoid 27 is turned ON only when the fold of the paper sheet 14 passes and the paper sheet 14 is folded by a nip pressure generated by a total sum of the energizing force of a spring 26 and the own weight of an idler roller 22. When other part than the fold of the paper sheet 14 passes, the solenoid 27 is turned OFF and the paper sheet 14 is held by a nip pressure generated only the own weight of the idler roller 22. One side of the idler roller 22 is pulled up through the energizing force of a spring 28 and when the solenoid 27 is turned OFF, a specified gap (d) is formed between the idler roller 22 and a drive roller 21. When the paper sheet 14 having an AO size is folded into an A4 side, immediately after a fold at the tip of the paper sheet 14 passes, the solenoid 27 is turned OFF, and the end face of the paper sheet 14 is caused to smooth enter through the gap (d).</p> |
