PURPOSE:To detect the position of the liquid surface of a thermal medium in a heating box in good precision by transmitting ultrasonic waves from the wall surface of the heating box and subsequently receiving the reflected waves. CONSTITUTION:The method for detecting the position of the liquid surface of the thermal medium comprises transmitting ultrasonic waves into a high temperature thermal medium 5 in a heating box 4 for heating a spinning nozzle 7, receiving reflected waves from the interface of the thermal medium, thus detecting the position of the liquid surface, and subsequently digitally displaying the detected data on a display. |
