PURPOSE:To obtain a film having not only good gas-barrier properties for oxygen and water vapor after being metallized but also very good adhesion to the metallized layer, a film excellent in the suitability for printing with ink, and a film suited for use as a general packaging material or a laminated steel sheet. CONSTITUTION:The film is one which, when at least either of its surfaces is extracted with ethanol, satisfies the formula I: Xi/Y<=0.2 (wherein Xi is the area of the peak having the maximum value among those detected prior to that of the cyclic oligomers appearing when the extract is analyzed by HPLC, (high-performance liquid chromatography); and Y is the area of the peak of the cyclic oligomers appearing when the extract is analyzed by HPLC. |
