PURPOSE: To provide a hydrogen gas operated automobile driving device taking hydrogen gas as fuel and capable of being loaded on an automobile. CONSTITUTION: In a method for operating an automobile driving device to be operated by hydrogen gas, hydrogen gas supplied to an automobile and having storage pressure stored in a pressure gas storing means 2 and lower than operational pressure for high-pressure injection is cooled by a cryogenic medium 24 to the cryogenic temperatures, it is compressed by a compressor 6 to an operational pressure level, the temperatures of the compressed hydrogen gas are increased, and the hydrogen gas is supplied to combustion of an engine of the automobile driving device.
