<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject dispersion excellent in quick dryability, stability, water resistance and levelability, useful for water-based ink, by polymerizing a specified amount of an alpha,beta-ethylenic unsaturated monomer in a specific solution. CONSTITUTION:The objective dispersion can be obtained by polymerizing an alpha,beta-ethylenic unsaturated monomer such as a (meth)acrylic alkyl ester in a solution prepared by dissolving or dispersing in water (A) 97-85wt.% of an amine or ammonium salt of a styrene-acrylic acid copolymer 100-120 in acid value and (B) 3-15wt.% of a 8-12C alkylated pyrrolidone. The amount of the alpha,beta-ethylenic unsaturated monomer to be used is 1 to 4 weight times the styrene- acrylic acid copolymer.</p> |
