PURPOSE: To easily manufacture a flexible abrasive horn by providing a large number of flexible bristles with abrasive small balls on their tips radially over the length of a specified width direction by a specified process for forming the abrasive small balls by attaching abrasive particles on outer coating layer. CONSTITUTION: In a flexible abrasive horn 50 is provided with a large number of flexible bristles 55... having abrasive small balls 65 on their tips radially over the length in a specified axial direction, and an effective internal end part 70 of each bristle 55 is held by a base 75 for holding bristles. When the abrasive small ball 65 is formed on the tip of the bristle 55, an outer coating layer (thin film) is formed by executing a first coating of semi-liquid, curable adhesive matrix (epoxy resin, etc.), on the tip part of the bristle 55. Then, an abrasive agent is applied with the dried abrasive particles of specified quantity in a coupling-contact condition with the outer coating layer which is not cured yet on the tip part of the bristle under the heating atmosphere, and the abrasive application stage is repeated by a plurality of times. |
