The process is highly suitable for recycling tyres for industrial and transport vehicles. It involves the insertion into the tyres themselves of markers (16') indicating what thickness of material has been removed in a possible later rebuilding and an operation of reinforcing the sidewalls and tread and/or beads. During the process, the first vulcanising phase uses a temperature of 150@C and lasts for between 45 and 65 minutes, while the second vulcanising phase, which is done in an autoclave, uses the following values: autoclave pressure = 6 kg/cm<2> internal tyre pressure = 8 kg/cm<2> temperature = 95-110@C duration = 4 hours for industrial and transport motor vehicles of ordinary dimensions. <IMAGE>
