PURPOSE:To parallelly expand and display picture information stored in an auxiliary storage device while expanding and displaying picture information from the other party's communication system in a multi-media communication system. CONSTITUTION:The multi-media communication system is provided with the two picture decoding part of a first picture decoding part 110 separating multi- media information from the other party's communication system from another media information and picture information and expanding the piece of picture information by an inverse multiplexing part 103 and a second picture decoding part 111 expanding picture information from the auxiliary storage device 108 by the instruction of a host computer 100. Then, the multi-media communication system parallelly expands picture information from the other party's communication system and that from the auxiliary storage device 108 to display them by a multi-window by way of a display control part 112. |
