PURPOSE:To prevent color slippage and irregularities in a density and color on a picture by always making the superimposing positions of each color constant. CONSTITUTION:This electrophotographic printer is provided with a belt-like photosensitive body 4, an exposure means 1 for generating an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive body 4 with laser light, developing devices of four colors of yellow, magenta, cyan and black 3-1, 3-2, 3-3 and 3-4, for processing the electrostatic latent image with a developer and obtaining a toner image, a belt-like intermediate transfer body 5 arranged on the upper part of the belt-like photosensitive body 4, an intermediate transfer roller 7 moving vertically for the press-contact and separation of the bell-like photosensitive body 4 with/from the belt-like intermediate transfer body 5, a pair of transfer rollers holding/carrying together the belt-like intermediate transfer body 5 and a recording paper 25 to transfer the toner image transferred on the belt-like intermediate transfer body 5 onto the recording paper 25 and the position detecting marks of the color not shown by figure and position detecting sensors 10-1 and 10-2 corresponding to the marks, on the belt-like photosensitive body 4 and the belt-like intermediate transfer body 5, respectively. |
