PURPOSE:To provide a device which allows a discharge tube disposed in a. cold place to start discharging with ease in case of the tube such as a cold cathode discharge tube used for the back light of a liquid crystal view finder for a camera integrated type VTR. CONSTITUTION:A high voltage conductor 10 is provided close to the negative electrode 8 of a cold cathode discharge tube, and concurrently a low voltage conductor 11 is provided close to a positive electrode 9. Each conductor is so constituted that each area is reduced toward the vicinity 21 of the center of each discharge tube, and both the difference in electric potntial between the negative electrode 8 and the high voltage conductor 10 and the difference in electric potential between the positive electrode 9 and the low voltage conductor 11 are made high so as to let electric fields close to each electrode be made high, so that discharge is easily occurred. |
