PURPOSE:To make the operation of various operation elements ineffective during a musical performance. CONSTITUTION:This electronic musical instrument is provided with a keyboard 1, an automatic musical performance data memory 19a which stores automatic musical performance data on plural pieces of music, a readout control circuit 18a which reads automatic musical performance data out of the automatic musical performance data memory 19a, a musical sound signal generating circuit 9 which generates a musical sound signal based upon a musical sound signal corresponding to the operation of a keyboard 1 or timbre selection switch 3 or the automatic musical performance data read by the readout control circuit 18a, and an automatic mode detecting circuit 16a which inhibits the musical sound signal corresponding to the operation of the keyboard 1 or timbre selection switch 3 during the automatic musical performance. Consequently, even if a user operates an operation carelessly, the timbre, etc., is not changed and the original automatic musical performance is carried out. |
