PURPOSE:To automatically play a complex drum pattern while a manual musical performance is carried on by providing a means which reads previously stored musical performance pattern data and plays the performance pattern by the striking operation of a 2nd playing element during a performance by the striking operation of a 1st playing element. CONSTITUTION:A player makes a shot at a drum pad middle part A while listening to a drum sound emitted from a speaker 12 and its musical performance data are stored in work addresses in turn to prepare a fill-in pattern. When the recording mode is reset with a drum pattern RecSW7a depressed and a shot at a subpad B at the periphery of the pad is made while the musical performance is carried on by making the shot at the middle part of the pad, a CPU 4 reads MIDI data on the drum pattern out of a drum pattern area corresponding to the subpad B on a RAM 5 and outputs the data to a MIDI sound source 9. Consequently, the fill-in pattern can automatically be played. |
