PURPOSE: To attain the field test of a concentrated data processing system by using a hand type transaction computer using a diagnostic file through communication. CONSTITUTION: A testing system 10 is connected with a system 12 to be tested. The system 12 to be tested includes a peripheral equipment 16 normally connected with a local system 14. The testing system 10 includes a hand type transaction computer 18 connected with the peripheral equipment 16 for testing the peripheral equipment 16. The hand type transaction computer 18 is used for separating the part of the system to be tested, and emulating the residual system by using diagnostic data and a routine, and selective communication with a host computer 20 can be attained for receiving a selective diagnostic routine stored and generated in the host computer 20. |
