PURPOSE: To provide an electric lamp operation apparatus which has a high power factor and can be manufactured at relatively low cost. CONSTITUTION: This electric lamp operation apparatus comprises a rectifying circuit for full-wave rectification of AC voltage having relatively low frequency, a bridge circuit of electronic switches T1-T4 of which outputs t6, t7 are connected to one or more lamps and which is connected to the rectifying circuit, and a control circuit for switching to switch on and off these electronic switches by relatively high frequency. Switching is carried out in a manner that two switches T1, T4 connected in one side at positions on the opposite to each other in the bridge circuit are switched off and then two switches T2, T3 connected in the other side at positions on the opposite to each other in the bridge circuit are switched on and vice versa. |
