PURPOSE: To provide a novel improved developer, having the performance to improve desensitization capability and to enhance the lipophilicity of the image region of a printing plate. CONSTITUTION: This aq. alkaline developing compsn. consists of (1) an org. solvent, (2) an anion surfactant, (3) the alkaline metal tetraborate, (4) the alkaline metal salt of aliphat. monocarboxylic acid, (5) the alkaline metal salt of aliphat. dicarboxylic acid, (6) long-chain aliphat. amine and (7) an alkaline buffer system of an amt. sufficient for imparting alkaline PH and is useful for development of the negative-type planographic printing plate. |
