<p>PURPOSE: To provide an automobile power control system which supplies a load circuit with adjusted voltage and allows a proper current to flow at normal operation and supplies maximum power when it is requested. CONSTITUTION: A switching converter 35 controlled in duty cycle lowers the output voltage of a synchronous generator 30 to the voltage value suitable to charge a battery 38 and to supply low-voltage load 39 with power. When the rotational speed of the generator can supply enough load currents, the converter 35 is controlled by a first feedback circuit 37. This circuit compares the output voltage with the reference voltage Vb, and produces an error signal, and adjusts the output voltage of the converter to a desired level. When the output voltage is lower than the desired level, this controller generates a control signal by the velocity signal of the synchronous generator, and changes the output voltage of the converter thereby maximizing the power obtained from the synchronous generator at its rotational speed.</p> |
