PURPOSE:To provide a method for replacing a laser gas cylinder while continuing processing even if the cylinder becomes vacant on the way of laser processing. CONSTITUTION:When a laser gas cylinder becomes vacant during processing, a pressure switch is operated (S1), an alarm is output (S2), a laser gas filling and discharging solenoid valve is closed, laser gas is confined in a resonator, a laser oscillation is continued (S3), the cylinder is replaced (S4), when the replacement is finished within a predetermined time from an alarm (S5-Y), and the valve is opened (S6) to finish the replacement. If the replacement exceeds the predetermined time (S5-N), laser oscillation processing is temporarily stopped (S7), after the replacement is finished (S8), the solenoid is opened (S6), and laser oscillation, processing are restarted. |
