PURPOSE:To provide a mechanical acceleration sensor having a guide for allowing smooth movement of a weight without requiring high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:The mechanical acceleration sensor comprises a weight 2 supported movably, on a case 1, a latch lever 3 opposing the weight 2 while being loaded with a set load, and a firing pin 4 loaded by a spring to engage with the latch lever 3. The weight 2 is supported on the case by means of a slide bar 6a fitted tightly in a guide hole 22 of the weight 2 and a slide bar 6b fitted loosely in a guide groove 24 of the weight 2 so that the rotation around the direction of inertial movement is restricted. At the time of operation, moving direction of the weight 2 is specified by the slide bar 6a and the weight 2 moves freely in the direction specified by the slider bar 6b with the rotation around the moving direction being restricted. |
