PURPOSE: To provide an image processor and its processing method which can obtain an image of high resolution by processing an image by utilizing a low- resolution processor. CONSTITUTION: The image processing system 1 includes frame storage devices 3 and 4 and a disk storage device 6 connected by a buffer 11. The storage devices and buffer are controlled by a processor 12. Image data representing an image of high resolution are moved among the storage devices so as to generate a group of data representing respective subimages. The subimages are represented as whole images, but the resolution is low. Subimage data are videotaped by a video recorder 17.
