Method for suspending a roof without using a support on the ground, characterised by a system escaping from the attraction of the Earth by exerting an upward force greater than the weight of the roof to be supported, the system being connected to the roof by suitable links and the distance between the ground and the roof being limited by the length of the links which connect the roof to the ground at fixed points. The illustrative embodiment of the invention (cf. page 1/1) shows that this method comprises: a helium-filled balloon (1); a cable (2) connecting the balloon to the geometrical point of the framework of the roof; the fabric roof and its framework (3); and cables (4) connecting peripheral points of the framework to cement blocks fixed to the ground (5). <IMAGE>
