摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a liquid crystal display device having a quick respond speed and a less afterimage phenomenon in a liquid crystal display device using a ferroelectric liquid crystal. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal display device has a first substrate 13 forming a thin film transistor on the surface and a second substrate 12 arranged to face the first substrate and forming a common electrode on the surface. A liquid crystal layer 11 consisting of ferroelectric liquid crystal molecules 20 in which the orientation direction rotates in the same plane corresponding to an electric field between the thin film transistor and the common electrode is arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate.
