PURPOSE:To obtain a zinc-bromine battery having high reliability, which is downsized and in which the generation of leak of the electrolyte following the valve operation is prevented. CONSTITUTION:In a zinc-bromine battery, a rectangular flat separator plate 2 and an intermediate electrode 1 are laminated to form a unit cell, and plural unit cells are laminated to form a battery main body, and the electrolyte of the positive electrode side and the negative electrode side are flowed inside of the cell by the drive of a positive electrode side pump 19 and a negative electrode side pump 21. An insulating frame body 2a and 1b positioned in each periphery of the separator plate 2 and the intermediate plate 1 are separately formed with notch parts 25a, 25b and 26a, 26b. Two clearances formed by the combination of each notch part at the time of laminating plural separator plates 2 and plural intermediate electrodes 1 each other are used as a positive electrode side electrolyte storage tank 14 and a negative electrode side electrolyte storage tank 17. Furthermore, a mechanism for reversing the battery main body in the vertical direction is provided. |
