PURPOSE:To engage a connector with an engaging recessed part of a cable with a high engaging force and a high durability and a high snap-hitting property by utilizing a holding fitting for increasing the fitting strength of the connector. CONSTITUTION:The front surface of a housing 1 is provided with an insertion port 2 opened thereto and a contact fitting 3 is fitted to the inside of this insertion port 2, and a terminal part 5 extended from the rear end of the contact fitting 3 is allowed to project from the rear of the housing 1 to form a connector 4. Holding fittings 6 are respectively fitted to the outside of both side ends of the housing 1, and a part of the holding fitting 6 is extended as a spring piece 9 and led into the inside of the side end of the insertion port 2. The tip of the spring piece 9 is provided with an engaging projection piece 10 formed to be freely disengageably engaged with a engaging recessed part 11, which is provided on the side edge of a cable 12 inserted into the insertion port 2 freely to be put in/out and made to make contact with the contact fitting 3 for connection. The connectot 4 is arranged on the surface of the printed wiring board 7, and the terminal part 5 and the holding fittings 6 are respectively fixed to the printed wiring board 7. |
