POWER MODULE

PURPOSE:To obtain a power module which prevents the generation of cracks on the module and the structure of an outside terminal by turning an upper sealing part and a lower sealing part of the outside terminal or turning a connection part projected from the upper sealing part to the upper sealing part virtually at 90 deg. with the outside terminal in the longitudinal direction as a rotary shaft and keeping the turned state. CONSTITUTION:An upper sealing part 4b covered with thermoplastic resin of an outside terminal 4 is arranged to be in a state rotated virtually by 90 degrees to a lower sealing part 4a covered with gel-like resin or a connection part 4c is arranged to be in a state virtually rotated by 90 deg. to the upper sealing part 4b where the center line of an outside terminal in its longitudinal direction is assumed as a rotary shaft. This construction makes it possible to deflect easily the outside terminal in every direction. Furthermore, the span between the outside terminals 4 is increased compared when the span is not deflected in the portion of the upper sealing part 4b and the opposed areas of the adjacent outside terminals 4 are widened, which relaxes internal stresses of thermosetting resin 8 between the outside terminals 4 and prevents the generation of cracks inside.
