PURPOSE:To attain the display of high quality by simple constitution also concerning an NTSC signal in a television set corresponding to an HDTV signal. CONSTITUTION:The NTSC signal is noninterlaced by double-writing and furthermore converted by a signal conversion circuit 3. In the converted signal, in order to superpose the scanning line of the same display content and furthermore to deviate the position of superposing by each field, a correction waveform from a scanning correction waveform generation circuit 30 is superimposed to a vertical convergence amplifier 23 in a convergence circuit 20. Consequently, quality deterioration such as the deterioration of a vertical resolution. the quality deterioration of a moving picture, etc., due to double-writing are not caused in simple circuit constitution as well. |
