PURPOSE: To position an auxiliary deflection coil in a location advantageous to operation as possible independently of, particularly, the length or position of a line deflection coil and without any occurrence of electromagnetic hindrance such as ringing. CONSTITUTION: A display tube 1 includes a deflection coil supporter 4 having a field deflection coil system 9 outside and a line deflection coil system inside. An end on an electron gun side of the line deflection coil system is positioned within a plane parallel to the wall of a neck 2 of the display tube 1. The outside of the deflection coil supporter 4 is surrounded by an auxiliary deflection coil system 6 which is preferably formed at the inner face of a support cylinder made of a synthetic substance by printing. Particularly, this assembly, which can be used for the purpose of scanning velocity demodulation, is finally interposed partially between the field deflection coil system 9 and the wall of the display tube 1, while is partially superposed at the end on the electron gun side of the line deflection coil system. |
