The invention relates to an axial bearing having at least one rolling body rolling on raceways between parallel, rotationally symmetrical surfaces. A bearing of this type is characterised in that a rolling body (10, 18, 20, 24, 29) or two rolling bodies (28, 30) lying on a common axis of rotation (5), the said rolling body or rolling bodies circling round a bearing centre point (9), are arranged between the surfaces. This design of the rolling bearing ensures that, when the constructional space is small in the radial direction, relatively large dimensions of rolling bodies and their associated cages can be used in comparison with the previous state of the art, so that, on account of the cheaper production of larger rolling bodies, the reduced number of rolling bodies between the raceways and the uncomplicated cage tools for cages with only one or two pockets, a cost-effective and simple assembly of a bearing of this type becomes possible. <IMAGE> |
