Apparatus for working the end of a concrete or reinforced-concrete pipe with a tool 6 which can act on the outer periphery of the pipe end. To work an out-of-round pipe end and/or a pipe end with offset axes of the inside and outside diameter in such a way that, when worked pipes are combined, as far as possible a continuous transition from one pipe to the other can be obtained, a roller support 3 is provided on which the pipe can be arranged and rotated about its longitudinal axis. A contour roller 5 is arranged at a selectable, fixed and, with regard to the pipe, radial distance from the tool 6 in such a way that it rolls on the inner periphery of the pipe end at a point which is diametrically opposite the point at which the tool 6 acts. The tool 6 and the contour roller 5 are movably arranged in the direction of their radial distance so that these components can move together during the working as a function of the pipe movement. During the working with an apparatus of this type, out-of-roundness is completely removed and the walls opposite one another on axes XY perpendicular to one another are produced in uniform thickness. <IMAGE>
