Process and apparatus for the packaging of articles in paper bags

A process for packaging of articles in paper bags makes use of paper webs which are unwound from paper rolls and which are laid around a tube and connected to one another by their ends. The articles to be packaged are pushed horizontally into the tube. Subsequently, the bottom of the pack is formed in the region of an open end face of the tube. The content of the pack is then pushed out, together with the pack, into a holder where the pack is held in such a way that the top closure can be formed on the side located opposite the bottom closure. An apparatus for carrying out this process is likewise provided.
