The joint, for two submarine cables, each having a fibre-optic bundle protected in a protective tube and having cabled reinforcement wires over an inner sheath covering the protective tube, comprises a strong support which is fitted over the tubes for protecting the two fibre bundles connected to each other and which is blocked between the inner sheaths of the cables, and onto which support are clamped, with pressure, the reinforcement wires recabled on it. It is characterised in that the support (10) is equipped with rough-surface catching means (14A-14B) blocking it on both of the protective tubes (2A, 2B). <IMAGE> |
