Switching stage

In circuits having fast switching transistors, interfering voltage peaks occur due to parasitic inductances and capacitances. The novel circuit indicates a device for effectively suppressing these voltage peaks. The energy stored in the parasitic reactive elements can be absorbed, without significantly increasing the switching losses, by reducing the rate of change of the switch resistance only at the beginning and/or end of the switching process, so that a suppression of overvoltages and disturbances in switching stages is achieved.
