摘要 The invention relates to a precursor for an electrophotographic planographic printing plate having at least one photoconductive layer which is located on a conductive layer support (carrier, base, substrate) and contains a random copolymer binder resin (P) which (i) has a weight average molecular weight of from 5 x 10<4> to 5 x 10<5>, (ii) comprises (a) a polymer component comprising specific methacrylate or acrylate monomers, (b) a polymer component containing at least one specific polar group and (c) a polymer component having a Fedor solution parameter of 9.0 or more and containing at least one specific aprotic polar group, and (iii) contains at least one specific polar group at one end of the main chain of the copolymer. The plate precursor can be etched with a combination of an etchant and a damping solution (fountain solution), neither of which presents a problem from the environmental pollution point of view, forming an offset printing plate which produces no background spots. The printing plate has high print durability and is distinguished by its abrasion resistance.
