The invention relates to an electronic hydrostatic level for equalizing horizontal surfaces and consists of two devices which are connected by means of a hose. The invention is characterised in that the hydrostatic level is configured as an enclosed system at whose two ends pressure sensors are located which are coupled to a pressure or energy transducer.
